Acetoxy silicone sealants release acetic acid during their curing cycle, which can corrode copper, brass, concrete, and mirror Backing. They are ideal for glass and ceramic applications due to their rapid cure rates and cost efficiency. Neutral-curing silicones release non-corrosive alcohol or oxime groups, making them suitable for masonry, metal siding, aluminum frames, and sensitive electronic assemblies.
MS Polymers offer superior UV stability, preventing yellowing, chalking, and cracking when exposed to direct sunlight. Unlike PU sealants, they contain zero isocyanates, making them safer for installers and less prone to bubbling when applied to damp concrete substrates. They are also paintable soon after skin formation. Polyurethane sealants remain a cost-effective choice for heavy joints in civil engineering applications requiring high tear resistance.
We use high-barrier aluminum-lined packaging to prevent moisture transmission. During transit, temperature cycles can cause moisture ingress in standard plastic cartridges. To address this, we mold our cartridges with precise tolerance controls and store finished goods in temperature-controlled logistics areas prior to container sealing.
Under dry storage conditions between 5°C and 25°C, our neutral silicone and polyurethane sealants maintain a shelf life of 9 to 12 months from the date of manufacture. Acetic silicones can maintain shelf stability for up to 12 months, and special epoxy grouting materials remain stable for up to 18 months in unopened packaging.
